dc rivals hypercoaster

warner bros. movie world - australia

The largest roller coaster ever built in Australia, with the worlds’ first rear facing seats.

At the early stages of the project I suggested track layout refinements to the manufacturer Mack Rides to ensure a “Top 10” ride experience with more airtime, better pacing and better visual impact.

I was called upon to develop several thematic options.

I designed the queue area and worked with IP holders and the build team to develop the dimensionalised 3D ‘billboards’.

I also designed and procured the iconic custom built LED Joker Sign that sits atop the apex of the lift hill.

To improve throughput, I designed and procured an automatic rotating loose item storage system to improve throughput.

As the most expensive attraction Warner Bros. Movie World has ever built, it required significant inter department collaboration

The ride drove park attendance and cemented Warner Bros Movie World as Australias #1 theme park. It Exposed the Australian public to a true world class coaster for the first time, and raised internal expectations as to what a “world class” attraction truly was.
