As the largest investment in the park’s history, TNT required a high-impact, cost-efficient execution. I took a lead role from the project kickoff, utilizing the ride’s physical characteristics to drive the master-planning and thematic integration.
I was responsible for the end-to-end creative and technical execution of the project, covering:
Strategic Siting & Near-Miss Geometry: Conducted the initial site analysis to optimize the coaster’s footprint. I identified key "near-miss" opportunities, positioning thematic elements to maximize the thrill with strict adherence to the Envelope of Protection.
Thematic Architecture: Designed the primary load station building, ensuring the structural design met both the aesthetic narrative and rigorous operational requirements for guest throughput, and evoked traditional Victorian factory architecture.
Landscape & Queue Design: Developed the queue-line journey, featuring a panoramic viewing section within the ride’s helix and a signature "trench run" to enhance the sense of speed.
Signage & Brand Identity: Art directed the official TNT logo design and all precinct-wide signage, ensuring a consistent brand voice across the attraction.
Marketing & Visualisation: Produced the high-fidelity 3D model and POV (Point-of-View) animations used as the primary marketing assets for the ride’s public launch.
Operational Integration: Seamlessly incorporated an underground tunnel and an overhead flythrough into the station building, balancing high-impact "wow" moments with the park's requirements for maintenance access and safety.
Cost-Efficient Design Management: Managed the design process with a strict focus on capital efficiency, delivering a world-class "big park" feel within the budgetary constraints of a regional destination.
