I was called upon to design the queue areas and theming for several rides at a “Tiki” themed amusement park in Vietnam. The designs of course had to be reflective of the theme, but be achievable with simple construction methods. Ideas included a Hula Dance themed spinning ride, with luau flowers. There was also a Pele themed tower ride, with colours inspired by volcanoes and spear themed fencing and shade structures. Another attraction was a rapids ride, with the queue set in a traditional village house, decorated with traditional fishing equipment.
